Vintage Heuer Authentication & Bespoke Valuation advice Service. Rapid Response Via Email (For watches produced between 1962-85)

After almost 15 years collecting Heuer I have gained significant knowledge on the 1962-85 period of Heuers output. This knowledge has been used in the four detailed Heuer collector books on the Autavia, Carrera, Monaco and has also led to a significant database of full serial numbers for these watches. Whilst some sellers can be trusted many cannot, either because they are not experts in Heuer or because they know what may be wrong but unless you ask they won't tell you (or even worse just lie). It is a mistake to always believe what you are told and buying the wrong watch can be a very costly mistake in todays market and one I see repeated again and again. Please contact me via the below form/email if you would like me to authenticate your Heuer (please note that there is now a charge for this service). In the first instance I implore collectors to educate themselves, and the Heuer books (available from Blurb via the link below) contain all the information they should need and will save you much time and money in the long run.

Via the authentication rapid email service I will be able to let you know if a watch you own or one you intend to purchase is a correct example, and if not all original what parts may be non original to the watch. Has the case been polished, has it been re-lumed, is the bezel original or a service bezel and is the dial correct for the serial number range? Some dials are even being faked and movements being cobbled together incorrectly (or having re machined parts), so the opportunity to make mistakes has only further increased over the past decade. I can let you know what the correct market valuation is for you to "sense check" what a seller is charging. I am happy to do this in a timely manner, because sometimes when you have the opportunity to buy a watch, you don't want to miss out and need quick feedback. If you pay far too much for a watch and want to move it on later, you could easily find yourself losing thousands of pounds (quite a common mistake). To assist I will require images of the watch, ideally to include the front and back, the crown and the movement, plus the serial numbers if possible (usually between the lugs, behind the strap).
