Heuer Price Guide Update - October 2026
The guide was updated to reflect a generally stable market, with no downward revisions, and some upward movements on the rarest and most desirable 1960s Carreras which is currently the hottest sector of the vintage Heuer market at the moment (Skipper, Seafarer, Yachting, Pulsation...)
The market for physical assets (including desirable vintage watches) has seen some positive movement in the past year, with the toxic cocktail of high bond yields, volatile stock markets (which look to be at or close to a mid term peak), and escalating geopolitical flashpoints is rapidly driving capital away from paper assets and into premium, tangible physical assets. However this has seen a flight to "quality" and has only really effected the cream of the crop on Heuer, so the holy grails so to speak. As has been set in stone for over a decade now that primarily means the rarest and most desirable 1960s Autavia and Carrera with "special" dials, and with the Carrera lagging the Autavia on pure value terms, that is why we have seen a move on some of the Carrera grails for this guide.
The rest of the guide sees stable values (which equates to a slight fall if inflation is taken into account) not indicating that interest in vintage watches has fallen as such, but more to reflect that there are millions of average vintage watches out there and the reality is that many of them are not highly desirable. It is only the very best and rarest that attract both top tier collectors and investors alike.
